Hi,
I'm using the debian cups package (1.1.20final+rc1-10) and have the
problem that I can't set a default printer:
[sebastianw at lain:~]$ cat .lpoptions
Default HP2100
[sebastianw at lain:~]$ cat /etc/cups/lpoptions
Default HP2100
[sebastianw at lain:~]$ cat /etc/cups/printers.conf
# Printer configuration file for CUPS v1.1.21rc1
# Written by cupsd on Wed Dec 1 11:20:58 2004
<DefaultPrinter HP2100>
Info Printer
Location Office
DeviceURI socket://192.168.1.16:9100/
State Idle
Accepting Yes
JobSheets none none
QuotaPeriod 0
PageLimit 0
KLimit 0
</Printer>
[sebastianw at lain:~]$ lpq
lpq: error - no default destination available.
[sebastianw at lain:~]$ lpstat -d
no system default destination
[sebastianw at lain:~]$ echo "test" | lpr
lpr: error - scheduler not responding!
What can I do?
Regards,
Sebastian
