HP DeskJet 5550 stopped printing

I will try it, but I don't think the setup was the problem.
I had already set up CUPS and it was working.
I think the issue is with the hpijs driver, which I'll probabley have
to downgrade for the time being (or get the VERY latest).
It also could be a problem with the PPD file configured through foomatic.

The interesting thing is that the LaserJet 4L is A-OK, indicating  no problems with the basic setup, but it is an older printer.

The original set up was the proverbial radial slice of baked confectionary.

Wll I never had a problem up to now; I did re-configure my printer 2 or 3 times and then it worked A-OK (seperate occasions).
