[cups.development] USB backend problem when sending PJL commands

Hi,

The problem is that the PJL commands included on the
printjob I sent to the printer were also printed when
I use USB backend. This problem does not occur when
the data was sent through the IPP backend.

The problem occurs on Mac Jaguar OS with cups 1.1.15-2
version.
On Mac Panther OS with cups 1.1.20rc1, the problem
does not exist.

Is this a known problem in cups usb backend on its
earlier version?

Is there a workaround to solve this problem( like
modifying the PPD for example) so that the cups used
in Mac 10.2.8 (Jaguar) need not be updated?
