No output device no web interface ?!?

I am using cups to transform Epson inkjet printers in PS Printer for a long time now, more then 4 years, no problems until now ..
In a freshly instaled Debian Sarge with all security updates, and just that !
Then I run : aptitude install cupsys cupsys-driver-gimpprint cupsys-driver-gimpprint-data gs-esp usbmgr
And all associated dependencies arte installed too ...
Then I edit the /etc/cups/cupsd.conf to allow mannangement from remote machine .
Then I open a browser, point it to the freashly instaled system, just like I'm doing in the last 4 years, end start to setup a printer already connected to this machine, first screen, ok, name of the printer, place, etc, then, in the second screen, where I must point a device to cups send the job, nothing, neinte, nada !!
There is no output device there !!!!
What is wrong ??
I change log level to debug, and the divices shows up as recognized !!
