A first quick look into the logs showed nothing weird (except that you obviously are using a CUPS 1.2.x
snapshot, but the backchannel information from your pritner gets sidcarded).
A further look into your problem.ps page showed that it is not fully DSC compliant (there are PS
statements between the %%EndSetup and the firsts %%Page: comment line. As this might cause garbage
produced by the pstops filter (we at our site use the "alternate pstops filter" which seems to be somewhat
safer with this respect), I#d suggest the following:
- enable printing to file as described in the mime.xxx and cupsd.conf comments.
- set up a printer with the original 4200 PPD but with the file backend instead of socket and
make sure that all defaults are the same.
- print the problem page to this "printer" and save and post the resulting file, please.
