[STR New]
Hello,
I've got a problem when printing PDF documents from the command line (via
the "lp" or "lpr" commands): the margins are wrong.
These are the links to some of the PDFs I tried:
http://web.mate.polimi.it/servizi/webspace/ld/49/rispostestud.pdf
http://www.elet.polimi.it/upload/negri/INFORMATICAI/esercitazioni/manstudI1.pdf
These are some informations about them:

Please note I tried *a lot* of PDFs, not only the previous ones, and
*none* of them works correctly.
Here is how I proceeded.
In CUPS control panel (webserver) I set the A4 page size. Then I printed
the PDFs both the following commands:
* lp -o media=a4 -o page-ranges=1 -o page-border=single-thick file.pdf
* lpr -o media=a4 -o page-ranges=1 -o page-border=single-thick file.pdf
Then I measured the space between the thick black border and the border of
the sheet of paper:
* top: none (i can't see the black border)
* bottom: 23mm (way too much for my taste)
* left: 2-3mm
* right: 6mm
My printer is an Epson CX-3200. My OS is Gentoo Linux. Kernel version is
2.6.12.
Here is the version of the software I'm using:
* net-print/cups-1.1.23-r4 +cjk -gnutls +nls -pam -samba -slp -ssl
* media-gfx/gimp-print-5.0.0_beta4 +cups -foomaticdb -gtk +nls +ppds
-readline
Please note I really think the printer is working properly, becouse I can
print correctly with OpenOffice for example, and even from Gpdf I obtain
much better results (I can't measure the margins in this case becaouse I
don't know how to draw a black border around the page).
