[STR New]

the following command fails when trying to write to an output directory
that resides on a mounted cifs filesystem and the filename has german
umlaute, i.e. ä,ü,ö. The share which is mounted is on a w2003 server.

 gs -q -dCompatibilityLevel=1.4 -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -dSAFER
-sDEVICE=pdfwrite
-sOutputFile="/var/spool/cups-pdf/tmueller/zuständigkeiten_tabellen.pdf"
-dAutoRotatePages=/PageByPage -dAutoFilterColorImages=false
-dColorImageFilter=/FlateEncode -dPDFSETTINGS=/prepress -c save pop -f
/var/tmp/SPOOL/cups2pdf-4893
ESP Ghostscript 8.15.0: **** Could not open the file
/var/spool/cups-pdf/tmueller/zuständigkeiten_tabellen.pdf .
**** Unable to open the initial device, quitting.

mount
//vaisrv01/baan_export on /transfer/cifs/baan type cifs (rw,mand)

after umount of the cifs filesystem the command works.
