Hi Michael,

I'm checking again on my side, since the code looks pretty straight
forward.  I'll build cupstestppd on my side and check the PPD.  

I've also asked Till specifically to send me one of the PPDs that
failed, just to make sure I'm actually testing the right PPD we gave
him, and not one that was fixed.

Um, the check is there to warn against the use of *1284DeviceId instead
of the standard *1284DeviceID. What exactly isn't working properly?

Can you attach a PPD file that isn't working with the current
cupstestppd?
