First, we're not going to put a big banner on the "Change Settings" button
saying "hey, don't do this".  That will just scare users away, and for
normal configurations you won't run into problems.  An excessively long
button label will just confuse users, too...

Second, the only reason you were left with a non-working setup is because
a) we don't support password-less configurations and b) you weren't
running cupsd as root.

Finally, the new CUPS book provides the full details about what each check
box does, and a *free* HTML version will be supplied on cups.org...

As for the SNMP backend and the auto-discovery stuff, I can sympathize,
but ultimately if we *don't* do auto-discovery via CUPS-Get-Devices, then
it won't work for all CUPS-based admin apps... :(
