[STR New]

If the CUPS version is 1.2.6 or 1.2.7 but not 1.1.23
and if the "prettyprint" option is used
and if the first two characters in the file being printed are "/*",
then printing fails.

The state of the job is "stopped". The printers page show messages like
"Missing %%EndProlog!", "TurboPrint: printing page 1, 99% complete", and
"/usr/libexec/cups/filter/texttops failed".

The problem occurs in two different computers, one with the turboprint
1.94-4 driver and the other with the "Canon BJC-7004/bjc800 (recommended)"
driver. Both operating systems are Gentoo linux, one with a 2.6.19 kernel
and the other with a 2.6.18 kernel. Both computers are connected to a
Canon i860 printer, one with a parallel connection and the other with a
usb connection. The compiler is GNU 4.1.1.

Printing otherwise appears normal.

Ivar
