Restarting a job to a different printer

It would be nice to be able to print a job that has completed again to a different printer (e.g. print it once in black and white, then on the color printer), but that doesn't seem to work -- the job apparently is completed and can't be modified, even if I restart it first. Is there any way around this, besides grabbing the file out of the CUPS spool and resubmitting the job?
