[cups.bugs] [CRIT] STR #1824: cannot add a printer

I've installed CUPS as provided from debian in version 1.2.1-3.
Following problem: When trying to add a printer, I cannot select a
printer-manufactor. I'm waiting infinite for the next configuration-page.
I think, there is a problem with cups-driverd. It seems to collect the
installed ppd's, but gets not finished.
Here a output of 'top':
