I have tried the patch and the GhostScript at least does not give an error.
But there is a warning message and in the resulting PDF the first page
stays blank. All the other pages seem to be converted correctly.

I attach a version of the patch which is adapted to the current SVN
revision of ESP GHostScript (rev 170).

Please tell whether you consider this bug as fixed with this patch applied
or not.

Please also tell whether the patch should be applied to the SVN or whether
it is a too dirty workaround.
