[STR New]

Printing a testprint.ps on a PS3 printer, using this command

   lp -d is2127 -o media=A3 /usr/share/cups/data/testprint.ps

does print perfectly. Also, the reported "Imageable Area" on the printout
looks accurate:

           Imageable Area:
           ---------------
             Page Size: 11.7x16.54in
                        297.1x420.2mm
            Lower-Left: 0.0x0.0in
                        0.0x0.0mm
           Upper-Right: 11.7x16.54in
                        297.1x420.1mm
            Resolution: 600x600dpi
                        23562x23562dpm

(Yes, the printer does indeed do "bleeding edge" prints.) Changing the
print command to

   lp -d is2127 -o media=A3 -o landscape /usr/share/cups/data/testprint.ps

does seemingly print perfectly as well. However, some strange effects (or
rather: defects) occur:

First, the printout is *not* landscape, but still portrait.

Second, the printout is upside down (I didn't notice this immediately,
because it looks too similar to the previous printout. Only by
directly watching how the paper leaves the exit, one can see
that the image in fact is turned on its head.)

Third, the printout lists strange values for Imageable Area on the
        "Lower-Left" and "Upper-Right" items:

           Imageable Area:
           ---------------
             Page Size: 11.7x16.54in
                        297.1x420.2mm
            Lower-Left: 4.85x0.0in
                        123.1.0x0.0mm
           Upper-Right: 16.54x16.54in
                        420.1x420.1mm
            Resolution: 600x600dpi
                        23562x23562dpm

The "Interpreter Information" is:

  PostScript: Level 3
  Version: 3010.103 (0)
  Product: RICOH Aficio 2027 PS3
  Serial #: 475548606

Not sure if it is more likely to be a bug in the testprint.ps file, or the
pstops filter, or the printer interpreter... I'll do a few more testprints
tomorrow, to narrow down the likely cause (print on A4 + Letter paper
[currently not available here], print the CUPS 1.1.23 testprint.ps, print
to a few more printer types...)
