This is a known bug of the beh (Backend Error Handler,
http://www.linuxprinting.org/beh.html) as shipped with Mandriva 2006.

Please download

http://www.linuxprinting.org/beh

and replace /usr/lib/cups/backend/beh with the downloaded file. Make sure
that the file is executable ("chmod 755 beh").

Now the problem should go away.
