[cups.bugs] [HIGH] STR #1481: HTTP HEAD gives no response

hello,

i believ this is a bug and not a feature. my cups 1.1.23 is giving no
"HTTP 200 ok" response when it gets a HEAD request, it simply closes the
connection. this is bad because we are using a simple loadbalancer which
checks via HEAD request for two webservers if they are alive.

here's my telnet output (i changed the hostname to "cupsserver"):

Connection to cupsserver closed by foreign host.

is this fixed in version 1.2 of cups or can i configure/build my cups to
respond correctly to HEAD requests?
