There is absolutely nothing we can do about this - we have no reliable way
of knowing how many pages were actually printed by a printer (even for
printers with bidi communications and hardware page counters - they can be
off by many pages for a variety of reasons)

Windows only works the way it does because there is a tight coupling of
the application to the printer driver and printer, and even then *it* can
get the wrong results because of the page counter reliability issue I
mentioned above.
