Hello,
I am trying to build cups 1.2.10 on one of our Redhat AS 4 servers (with the latest patches) and am running into some trouble. The build goes ok but during the make test I get the following error in the 4.2 printer operation tests - which then causes a number of other errors further downstream.
"4.2-cups-printer-ops.test":
Add Printer Test1 [PASS]

Verify Printer Test1 Added [PASS]
RECEIVED: 4137 bytes in response
Delete Printer Test1 [PASS]
RECEIVED: 72 bytes in response
Verify Printer Test1 Deleted [PASS]
RECEIVED: 126 bytes in response
Subscribe to Printer Events [FAIL]

status-code = 0400 (client-error-bad-request)
EXPECTED: notify-subscription-id

attributes-natural-language (language) = "en"
I've done some research but can't seem to find any hints as to what the trouble may be. I've built it with and without dbus support but that made no difference. What am I missing? Does RH AS 4 have an incompatible library? I am hesitant to continue with my tests/setup of cups 1.2 without getting a clean 'make test' result.
thanks much for any hints.
