[STR New]

After upgrading from RHEL4ES to RHEL5ES we have had some major problems
with CUPS. We've had lots of lpr-processes running on 100% cpu making the
server almost going down. When we restart the CUPS-daemon it - when there
are active printjobs - start running on 100% CPU as well. These scenarios
happens several times every day - and we are now in the process of
downgrading to RHEL4 again.

We have been in contact with RedHat Enterprise Support, which cant fint
the problem - but says they think its a new bug - without letting us know
anymore.

The printers.conf-file has been copied from an earlier RHEL4-installation
and the printdefinitions look like this:

<Printer lpsecs04>
Info Created by redhat-config-printer 0.6.x
DeviceURI socket://10.x.y.z:9100
State Idle
StateTime 1182090264
Accepting Yes
Shared Yes
JobSheets none none
QuotaPeriod 0
PageLimit 0
KLimit 0
OpPolicy default
ErrorPolicy stop-printer
</Printer>

The server has around 400 active printqueues defined, and was working
perfect under RHEL4.

I have uploaded all possible error_log-files (with debug-level),
trace-logs, etc here:

Let me know if you need more information.

Thanks in advance,
