Well, that's the thing - we don't provide a Samsung driver in CUPS.

I'd guess the other driver is using an older, less efficient print
protocol (maybe raster vs vector, or some newer compression is available)
which is causing the slower printing.

Anyways, if you do want to pursue this further, please contact the Fedora
folks or the author of the CUPS driver you tried...
