The built-in "gdi" driver in GhostScript has known problems with
sometimes not printing complex graphics. I highly recommend to install
SpliX:

- It is a native CUPS driver which integrates with CUPS without any
wrapper scripts

- It uses the newer SPL2 language and so it makes better use of your
printer's capabilities.

- It supports more options, like trays, Economode, ...

I have put up a distribution-independent 32-bit binary package of this
driver on the OpenPrinting site, so you can use it without compiling,

Note that on 64 bit the driver has a bug and will perhaps not print.
Stay with the "gdi" if that happens to you, but update foomatic-rip to
the newest version from OpenPrinting, as I have fixed a bug today,

Get the SpliX driver via:

http://openprinting.org/show_driver.cgi?driver=splix

Get an updated foomatic-rip here (only needed for the "gdi" driver):

http://openprinting.org/foomatic-rip
