[cups.bugs] [MOD] STR #2259: oki4w driver is NOT working with the Okipage8w printer, as recommended!!

The dirver oki4w is obviously written only to print up to 300 DPI, while
the 8w printer supports 600DPI. When setting lower resolutions, the
printer prints smaller images while keeping at 600DPI, so a 300 DPI print
is at quarter page size. With the resolution set to 600DPI the driver
seems to be unable to deal with the amount of data, resulting in
incomplete pages.
The oki4w driver is NOT working with 8w printers, so the recommendation in
cups, to use it, has to be removed unless the driver is upgraded to work
also with the higher printers. With the oki4w driver, the Okipage 8w
printer is unusable. (if anyone can prove the opposite, PLEASE do it! i
have tried it for many weeks with help of several other guys without any
success!) Please remove from printer list or upgrade driver!

@anyone intending to delete this bug: NO, i can not contact the driver
progammer, because except fo his name, there seems to be no information
about him on the web. He probably also didn't write the cups printer list,
that recommends to use his driver with a printer it was not designed for.
At least cups should be honest, admitting that it can not handle this
printer..
