General support is not available via the STR form. Please post to the CUPS
forums and/or mailing lists for general support.

This should only happen the first time you modify a printer after removing
the PPDs - cups-driverd needs to update the cache file.  If that is not
the case, then I suspect you are running into a Debian-specific issue...

That said, Foomatic does provide a far more efficient driver interface -
perhaps you should ask Debian to use that instead of the static PPD
files...
