Unable to start cups.. Logs show:

2.4.35 Linux kernel 
gcc version 3.3.2

*subnote: Google shows many others with same problem using Debian systems,
this is a Fedora system, that had to downgrade to 1.2.x to run again.


Tried 1.4svn and same error
