The source tarball ships templates/edit-config.tmpl and
templates/<locale>/edit-config.tmpl, and from what I can see, those files
are not regenerated from any other file (.tmpl.in-like).

However, the Makefile removes those files on distclean. The effect of this
is that a "build/install" sequence installs all the edit-config.tmpl files,
but a "build/distclean/build/install" sequence does not.

Is this rm'ing in the Makefile obsolete?
