You shouldn't have closed this, it isn't resolved in my eyes, now
the
only way I can reply is via the news-server here because your bug-
tracker
system kills any other way of replying to this record.

Many of the OSS projects are not able to compile/link yet on OSX-
10.5 thanks
to the loader problems which have been documented out the ying-yang
on
XCode-3.0. Many of us are stuck on Tiger for the time being until
a new
non-beta version of XCode comes out hopefully...

The crux of this matter is now this:
I wish to have the CUPS source code fixes as per the recent
security updates
made available for 10.4.x users please. How do we go about getting
them
please (i.e. is it a particular svn branch)? Thank you.

fwiw I'm happy to use CUPS-1.3.6 on Tiger so long as we know
Apple's GUIs
don't work nicely with it, so we use the web-browser interfaces
just fine.

But if you're killing CUPS-1.4.x on purpose for non-Leopard users,
well that
is a tactic I'd only thought M$ would be capable of treating its
userbase...
Why are other operating systems able to use your 1.4.x and not
Tiger users?
