Hi Bruno.

You can set the stand-by printer to (pause/stop) printing. You can do
this by going to the CUPS web interface and click on the red
button "Stop Printer" for that printer queue. Then, if the other
printer becomes offline for some reason, simply start the stand-by
printer by clicking on the green button "Start Printer" and continue
to print to the class as usual.

Your request reminds me of a feature I've since forgotten. When a print
queue is currently set to "Stop Printer" or paused, looking at that one
particular printer from the web interface shows the printer queue in
"Paused" or "Stop" state. However, if you look at the same printer que
from the class, it shows as available; ie, the color is "maroon", the
same color as the other printers. It would be nice if the printer queue
name is high-lited in green to indicate the queue is currently in Pause
or Stop state...the same way it's high-lited when looking at it as a
single printer queue.

At the moment, I'm not aware of any way to determine or list, from the
web interface or cli, the name of printer queues that are currently in
Pause(Stop) or Reject state...would be nice to know if one exist.
