ubuntu 8.10 - Cups error: Child exited with status 1

Hi to all
I've installed ubuntu 8.10 on my pc but there are a problems with cups starting.
After the installation I can see this error:
Child exited with status 1... failed!
I've tried to uninstall and reinstall cups but when I try to start it I see the same error code.
This is my cupsd.conf:

But nothig... I've also installed hplip to reach my HP deskjet supported printer but nothing!!!

In which way could be solve this problem? Now I must print more documents....
