Um, this is how normal shared printing works with CUPS - either using CUPS
browsing or by hardwiring "raw" queues pointing to the server:

    lpadmin -p printer -E -v ipp://server/printers/printer -m raw

Moreover, this is how CUPS was designed to work since v1.0...
