When attempting to print postscript files from gnuplot, no output is
produced.

At http://bugs.ghostscript.com/show_bug.cgi?id=689986

this appears to have been narrowed down to a problem in how cups' pstops
filter treats these files.  Apparently the showpage operator gets
redefined to a noop before any pages are produced.

I have attached an example file produced by a recent gnuplot (4.2.6). 
This file gets transformed into a blank by the pstops filter.
