[cups.development] Snow Leopard printing error : /usr/libexec/cups/backend/lpd failed

In the printer window, choose "Log & History" from the Printer menu to see the CUPS error_log file. More than likely you'll see an error message explaining the problem.

Rosetta will only help when using PowerPC printer drivers.
