[cups.bugs] [LOW] STR #3710: 'What's new in CUPS?' is unclear about "authenticated" policy

The document 'What's new in CUPS?' (regarding 1.4.0) states: 

    30. Configuration files; the default cupsd.conf file now provides 
        an "authenticated" policy for easy authenticated sharing of 
        printers.

However, http://localhost:631/help/ref-cupsd-conf.html does not mention a
policy called "authenticated".

I do not understand nor even guess what this new feature could be.
