Text File Formatting supported by CUPS

Hi,

We are working on a CUPS based Embedded Print Server. We have cross-compiled and installed CUPS 1.4.4 for ARM-9 platform running Linux. We require CUPS to print a text file consisting of ASCII text with following formatting options:

1. Bold
2. Underline
3. Text Allignment options (Left, Centre, right)

I understand CUPS supports UTF-8 text file format for printing which does not have the above mentioned formatting options.

1. Is there any other file format which is supported CUPS and additionally also supporting the formatting options mentioned above?

2. What is a possible method for CUPS to support the above mentioned formatting options with UTF-8?
