First Page From Different Tray Fails

I am running LibreOffice 3.3 on Ubuntu 10.10 with an HP LaserJet 4100, trying to print the first page of a letter to the manual feed but I am running into issues. All pages print to the tray that is specified for the first page.

I have printed to a post script file and verified that that the Tray 1 and 2 are called out at the correct pages. I have checked the PPD file and the calls match the  associated identifiers. I have also printed this same file with LibreOffice in Windows XP on the same machine with no issues. This issue appears to be a regression to an earlier bug. See the following links:

In the previous case the bug was posted to OpenOffice but closed as invalid because the post script output matched CUPS requirements, then it looks like CUPS was patched to fix the issue. Any help is appreciated.
