How to save print files from winxp?

hi all:
    Here is the question. I just want to use cups to get and to save the files from winxp through network printers. I'm a new to cups, is there and advice how i can manage it?
    (ps. For the moment I dont need to print these files, i just want to cut unnecessary functions)
