[STR Closed w/o Resolution]

I try all possibility on/off computer, printer, box, no way to print with
cups 1.5.2 and new distribution "linux" 12.04.

I have a Internet box with a USB connector for my printer.
I have 3 computer connect to this box

Before :
.. comp Kubuntu 11.04 cups 1.4 hplip 3.11
.. comp Xubuntu 11.10 cups ? hplip ?
.. comp Xubuntu 11.10 cups ? hplip ?
All works correctly with HP-b109a-m

Now :
.. comp Kubuntu 11.04 cups 1.4 hplip 3.11
.. comp Xubuntu 12.04 cups 1.5.2 hplip 3.12.2
.. comp Xubuntu 12.04 cups 1.5.2 hplip 3.12.2
Only first can print.

I try disconnect 2 comps, power off/on my box, printer, comp 12.04: No
print possible
I try ipp 631, socket 9100 : No print possible
I try install printer with cups :No print possible
I try install printer with O.S. :No print possible
I uninstall cups and hplip, power off, install cups and hplip, power
off/on :No print possible
I connect kubuntu 11.04, y see with my comp 12.04 the printer and y can
print.
I disconnect Kubuntu 11.04, I "kill" the printer with cups, I install new
printer with the sames parameters
(ipp://192.168.1.15:631/printers/LiveBox) with my comp 12.04 :No print
possible

I am not the only one with this problem. you can see for example:

1.5.1; no print with linux 12.04+cups1.5.2)

Damien Laporte (damien-laporte189) wrote When I want to print with my
Canon ip2600, connected to a livebox 2, the error message is:
'cups-ipp-missing-validate-job'.

tried all protocols and also didn't find anything useful withing the
livebox 2 config page

works with ubuntu 11.10 but did not work with ubuntu 12.04

When you write:
"1.4.x and earlier had specific workarounds for broken printers. Most of
those workarounds were pulled in 1.5 because they prevented us from
streaming to a printer."
You mean that:
Now we never can print with cups in our system?
All user of linux 12.04 must change printer?

I hope that Cups.org find a solution more efficient.

Thanks for your assistance.
