Konica-Minolta 4750en crashed using CUPS 1.52 but not 1.50

I tried installing the printer as AppSocket/jet direct.  Same issue when the test page is sent to the printer - hangs the printer and its web interface. Nothing reported in error.log and cups says teh job completed.
