Sorry, CUPS browsing is gone for good.  There are too many problems with
the CUPS browsing protocol in modern network environments to continue
using/supporting it.

CUPS 1.6 supports DNS-SD for automatic client discovery of printers, and
future versions of CUPS will also support LDAP and SLP.  Unfortunately, it
may take some time for desktop toolkits to support dynamic printers, but
the APIs are there in CUPS 1.6...
