This isn't something that CUPS (or most printers, for that matter)
supports.

CUPS processes pages. The pages can be arbitrarily long, but you have to
specify the final length, otherwise the page cannot be rasterized, etc.

Most drivers for large format printers support custom page sizes, so you
can specify arbitrary sizes within the limits of the printer and media.
