It seems that the printer specific filter (pstocapt3 as mentioned in  
your error_log file)
does not distinguisch between DuplexNoTumble and DuplexTumble.
This my suspicion is backed by the source pstocapt3.c (from Canon)  
which reveals
that it looks for "Duplex" as an option in the printer's PPD but does  
not look for
"Tumble".

But as I don't have access to such a printer, I do not really  
understand what this filter
is doing in detail (and there is no publicly available manual on  
Canon's CAPT).

To investigate this issue more deeply, can you post (an URL to) a  
sample file that
exhibits this issue?
