[STR Unresolved]

Franz,

This works automatically with any IPP implementation that reports support
for gzip or deflate. This is documented in the change log for CUPS 1.7
(new feature).

Most IPP printers made in the last 3 years support compression, and for
those that do we will automatically use it. The "compression" option is
there for backwards compatibility but is no longer required.

I'm all for documentation, but there is little point in expanding the
documentation for an obsolete URI option where the end-user has no easy way
of knowing which value(s) to use.
