I have set up a remote printer in cups printers.conf as follows:

DeviceURI https://mywindowsprintserver/printers/mytestprinter/.printer
...
AuthInfoRequired username,password
OpPolicy authenticated
...

'DefaultAuthType Negotiate' is set in cupsd.conf. There is a host ticket
available in root context and the user also has got a valid kerberos
ticket.

When the user tries to print, he/she is always prompted for
username/password instead of using the Kerberos ticket for printing.
