[STR Unresolved]

The printer state is not only updated when a job is being printed. On my
system the printer state is updated, when I (un-)plug or power on/off the
printer.

On the contrary, my system does not update the state when my application
tries to use the offline printer. It still appears idle.

But if the printer is unplugged while the system is turned off, it is not
possible to update on reboot?

Why does it cause a lot network traffic and CPU/memory/power when a system
checks the USB devices on boot? It does not need a repeated polling.
