But the prn.yes file with the /* first line does print OK.  Both lines with
the header.  Have tried adding several blank (\n only) lines and get the
same result with the prn.no file. If I put blank lines before the /* line
then no header.  The /* has to be the first line in the file for
prettyprint to work for plain text files.

Never used the texttopdf.  How do I do that?  I could pipe all my text
files to pdfs then lpr.

What happens if you print to an actual printer?
