[cups-devel] Need help debugging driver or finding workaround

There seems to be a long standing but with some Xerox printers and others
where CUPS
constantly shows "Print XYZ is out of paper".  Resetting the state of the
printer removes
the message until the next printing when it returns.

I'm willing to try to help debug this problem.  Can someone offer some
guidance how to start?

An inelegant but acceptable hack would be to reset the state of the printer
programmatically
after each print.  Is there any easy way to do that?
