Strange ....
Both your PDF and your PS file render properly on my Yosemite box (OS X
10.10.2),
but converting your PDF to ps using the local cgpdftops filter resulted in
an
erroneous PS file. A second test on a Leopard box (OS X 10.5.8) produces
similar
errors. The Ghostscript versions used were 9.07, 9.10, 9.14.

I suspect the cause of the issue is that not all fonts are embedded in the
PDF,
and the result then is dependent on the fonts installed in the respective
system.
Editing Ghostscript's Fontmap file to substitute Arialxxx by Helveticaxxx
could
probably resolve the gs errors but certainly not failing the printer.

To solve the issue, you should install the missing fonts (Type1 or
TrueType) if 
you cannot force the PDF creators to embed all fonts.
