[cups-devel] Trying to compile cups on AIX 7.1 with xlC

Hello,

Trying to compile cups 2.2.7 on AIX 7.1 with AIX xlC compiler but get the message below on configure.  Any advice would be appreciated.

Warning: shared libraries may not be supported.  Trying -shared
         option with compiler.
Building CUPS with default compiler optimizations; contact
cups-devel at cups.org with uname and compiler options needed
for your platform, or set the CFLAGS and LDFLAGS environment
variables before running configure.

$ uname -a
AIX cu1_old 1 7 00F6B1BC4C00
