[cups-devel] Authenticated Mac client options get lost

I'm having problems printing to a Linux print server with IPP-everywhere
queues from a Mac client.

Without authentication everything is OK, with auth.
many print options (like duplex) doesn't work.

The Mac is running Mac OS Catalina, I had the same problem when running
Mojave.

The server is RHEL 7.7 with CUPS upgraded to 2.3.0. Same problem on an
earlier Ubuntu server with slightly older CUPS 2.2.x.

Authenticated jobs from a Linux-client work as expected.

Does anyone have an idea about what could be wrong or how to troubleshoot
this?
