Login to CUPS via localhost:631

Hi,

A simple problem is bugging me now for several days. Using SuSE9.1,X86_64 I am not able to log into cups server via root and
http://localhost:631
No matter what I do, I do not get access. I also have tried to follow some instructions from the SuSE website but also no luck.

In addition to this, I also did some research on the net, but did not find anything.
What user name and password is CUPS using?
