[cups.general] PDF Forms printing

I'm following up on a previous unresolved problem.

I have a PDF file that I cannot print. It will display in acroread
and in xpdf, but if I convert to postscript (using pstops or with Xpdf
- which generates the same ps file as pstops) then gs-esp crashes
trying to display. The error is below.

Now, I sent the pdf to someone that has AFPL Ghostscript 8.00 and 8.11
and it rendered without any problem. But, I have not tried that
myself.

Frankly, I'm not sure what I'd need to build and install just to try
AFPL 8.14 on my Debian Sid machine, and how it might conflict with
gs-esp.

And I'm also not clear what exactly is the problem -- Helge Blischke
commented that I may have a corrupt font:

   > Substituting espgsMissingChar for space

Does that mean I have a broken font or if it's really a problem in
gs-eps.

How different (or what's different other than license) between the two
versions of Ghostscript?

Thanks,
